IPSC3 over cellular and Wi-Fi

POC Radios

IPSC3 POC turns supported Android network radios into dedicated FreeDMR-UK handsets. They use mobile data or Wi-Fi instead of a local RF path while remaining connected to DMR group calls, private calls, messages and position services.

The client behaves like a radio appliance: it starts with the handset, uses the physical PTT and hardware controls, and presents an interface designed for compact radio displays.

FreeDMR-UK

DMR-connected voice

Join configured talkgroups and communicate with compatible repeaters, hotspots, trunks and other POC clients.

Private calls and SMS

Use Radio IDs for person-to-person calls and supported text messaging through the IPSC3 roaming system.

Location and presence

Supported clients can report GPS or private on-device indoor estimates for the live network map and roaming.

Before installing

  1. Confirm that your radio model is listed as supported on the Downloads page.
  2. Use the installer for your computer platform and follow the on-screen radio setup process.
  3. Enter your own valid amateur Radio ID and select the FreeDMR-UK server.
  4. Keep the client current because authentication and media improvements can require a newer release.
